The Templehall Hotel is a family run two star inn, beautifully located in the tranquil countryside of the Scottish Borders. We provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation and quality food prepared by our experienced chef. The Templehall also boasts a lively public bar, attractive beer garden and spacious function room and restaurant.
The peaceful village of Morebattle lies in an idyllic rural setting around eight miles south east of Kelso. Surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, it retains much of its traditional character and sense of community. The ‘Temple’ remains, as it always has been, an integral part of village life. You will experience a friendly reception in our busy public bar, where alongside good beer and a selection of malt whiskys, a wealth of local knowledge can be found.
The Templehall is a VisitScotland accredited establishement, featuring four well appointed guest bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. We are ideally situated en route for anyone walking St. Cuthberts Way. Our location also provides a convenient base from which to enjoy fishing, cycling, golf or visiting some of the Borders many historical sites.
Accommodation
Our guest accommodation consists of four bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of nine people. All rooms are en suite, with colour TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Hair dryers, ironing and laundry facilities, and packed lunches are available on request. Car parking is provided on site.

Food
Lunches and evening meals are served in the bar or our spacious dining room. Our chef's menu uses local produce wherever possible, and includes a variety of daily specials and a delicious selection of homemade sweets.
Function Room
Our restaurant area also serves as a function room, seating approximately 80. We regularly stage a variety of events, including parties, dinner dances, christening, and funeral receptions, seminars, club meetings and live music. We provide a range of catering options from specially prepared multi course menus with full waitress service to self service tea and coffee. Rates for function room hire and catering options are available on request.
Beer Garden
Featuring a well maintained lawn surrounded by colourful herbaceous borders, our secluded beer garden is the ideal place to enjoy a quiet drink or bite to eat in the summer sun.
